It is sometimes hard not to get caught up in the stress of Christmas….decorating both the inside and outside of the house, finding gifts, wrapping them, hiding them, Christmas cards for all your loved ones, baking cookies, and oh let’s not forget the Elf on the Shelf that has to be moved every day.  When I start to feel like my middle name rhymes with “GRINCH”, I grab a cup of tea and play some Christmas music and remember that this is such a special time of  year.

The stress comes from trying to do it all……too fast……too much…..and not taking the time to enjoy it.  Christmas is a feeling of love, joy, and giving.    So my advice is to breathe deeply, and take the time to relax.  Before you know it, great ideas will come to you and you will find the energy to be “supermom” once again.  The twinkle in your kids eyes will be well worth all the hard work, and the memories you have created will be worth it in the end.  It is all in the heart.
