Introducing the Katja Dress. I am sure you recognize the fabric. I have had it in my stash for quite some time, but I could not wait for the weather to cool off so I could combine it with this knit. I chose the black and white stripe, because the black in the dress stands out as a neutral color. I am always looking for something to match Olivia’s shoes. Does that sound ridiculous? Seriously, I often ask myself if she has a pair of shoes to match her outfit, otherwise I am not interested. For example, we went shopping the other day for a pair of red shoes. I have bought her a pair of red shoes every year, but this year, I have not been able to find anything. She has a ton of red clothing, so I need matching shoes. LOL. Oh well, I still have a few sources to check out. I am sure I will find something.
Of course my mom made this gorgeous black and white hat, and I could not wait to model it. Isn’t it precious? She has such talent, and she whips them up in one night. It takes me a week. As a child, I always remember my mom knitting or crocheting something, while we watched a movie. She has been doing it for a long time, and I think that is great. When the kids were born, I got matching booties, sweaters and hats, and nothing has changed. No more booties of course, but the hats and scarfs still come. I still remember the hats she made for us as children, with these big ol’ pom-pons on top of the head. She even made them for my dad, who loved to play ice hockey in the wintertime. I do love those hats. It is just part of my childhood and now a part of my business. So as long as Olivia wants to wear them, she will.
I intend of making some more of these knit dresses. I just think for the winter months they are warmer. If you would prefer this as a top, I will gladly make one. Just subtract $7 from the price.
